“God is either dead, or he despises us.”
Love makes us all stupid and crazy. Some people are truly blessed and lucky, and they meet and know right away. Others go through disaster after disaster, in hopes of the real thing.
Taking place over the course of about a year or so, Feast of Love tells the story of several couples all going through either beautiful, or painful times. The poster makes it look like it’s a sappy story where everything works out, but that is not the case with this film, at all.
All-star cast (Morgan Freeman, Greg Kinnear, Selma Blair, Radha Mitchell, Billy Burke, etc). Very tender story, with bits and pieces of utter darkness. It’s a great roller-coaster ride, emotionally.
One of the best elements of the story (as is true with all of this brilliant man’s films): Morgan Freeman both stars in the film, and narrates it. That voice, man.
Don’t sleep on this great film.
